Okay. I have had enough of the swollen egos on one of the other forums. While I like Justin and understand that he runs an open forum, I feel that you can't really accomplish anything over there without having to put up with major distractions and a hell of a lot of abuse at times. I'm not going to allow that here. We are going to act like adults and work with each other. I don't have any problems with opposing points of view and I want all the possible inputs that we can get. What I don't want is people ragging on each other and calling it input. That's bullshit and it won''t fly here. Now, if someone wants to add something on getting some more spectators in the stands, get after it! ;D

While I am new as a fan to the OFAA, I spent many years as a "pit rat" at San Gabe and Irwindale. I have always loved fuel altereds and the exciting show they provide. The only thing I feel is lacking with the new shows is the elimination ladder, with everyone running until they are beaten. I don't care for the two fast winners going directly to the final. I also feel like the show could be run a little quicker so the extra round(s) needed for the single elimination ladder would not lead to an all-nighter. And I would definitely would like to see more shows per season. Granted all of these things would take more money (and, you are correct, not my money), but the question was about putting butts in the seats, so I'm just throwing out my point of view out to you. The drivers and crews we encountered at the show at Crandall were all friendly and enthusiastic about their participation. I had my 16-year old grandson with my and he was at his first altered show (he grew up around sprint cars, my fault). He was really impressed with the cars and the people and can't wait to get back. I feel if you can build a following of NEW fans with the kind of PR your crews can demonstrate, your fan base will grow, albeit slowly at first, and then the shows will pay the extra money needed for the expanded schedule and shows. Finally, on a sad note, I want to express my condolences to the family and fans of Tim Hay, who recently lost his life in an accident. I know what it is like to lose someone you care about in a racing accident, so my heart goes out to his family and friends.
